A bottle of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg Rive di San Pietro di Barbozza, produced by Villa Sandi, is reserved for all participants in Prosecco Cycling.
Do you know what the meaning of Rive is? In the Venetian dialect, “Riva” indicates a plot of land or a vineyard located on a hill characterized by steep slopes, where the processing is carried out entirely by hand, but with a terroir that gives an excellent quality to the grapes that makes the wine made “unique”.
These Rive are often given a name, often particular and local, in order to identify the specific lot. The denomination Rive can be used only for “Spumante” (Italian sparkling wine), not for still wines. The yield per hectare must be equal to a maximum of 130 quintals and the vintage must be indicated. It will therefore be a valuable bottle, to which we will add other excellent local products.
