TECHNICAL BOX

Technical box contains the front plate for the bike with its laces, the € 15  voucher for the Grand Tour Gourmet as well as the documentation with all main information to attend the Event. Participants registering within h. 24:00 of Friday 15 September 2023, will receive the bike front plate personalized with their name, PICA code for photos and QR code with health information if communicated by Participant to the Organizer at the time of registration.

GOURMET STOPS

Out and out gourmet stops are planned on the route: Refrontolo stop with Marzemini biscuits and Refrontolo passito DOCG produced starting from Marzemino grapes, while giant spit awaits you in Barbisano square!

TIRAMISU TASTE EVENT

This is the most popular and well-known Italian dessert in the world. A local tradition says that Tiramisù was supposedly invented by an ingenious 'maitresse' of a pleasure house located in the historic centre of Treviso.

The landlady would have prepared this aphrodisiac and invigorating dessert, to be offered to her customers at the end of the evenings, in order to invigorate them. The recipe is said to derive from 'sbatudin', a mixture of egg yolk beaten with sugar, commonly used by country families of Treviso Territory as a restorative or for newly-weds. Mascarpone, coffee and cocoa was then added to this dessert. 'Tiramisù Taste Event' is a great showcase for this famous dessert.

 Once they have crossed the finish line in Valdobbiadene, Participants in Prosecco Cycling will be able to move to nearby Villa dei Cedri for a tasting session, extended to their companions, of the popular spoon dessert always served with Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Visitors not having the free voucher provided to participants in technical box, and any companion, will be able to take advantage of the service by paying the fee of only €5.

· Age between 18 and 75 years.

· Card valid for the year 2024 issued by ACSI Ciclismo, FCI or Bodies in direct agreement with the same or Bike Card and recognized by CONI or a license valid for the year 2024 issued by Your National Cycling Federation must be presented in original or legible photocopy on the day of call for the collection of technical · and gift box.

· Valid medical certificate for competitive sporting practice of cycling as per art. 4 of the Ministerial Decree 164 / 24.04.2013 is mandatory. It is not mandatory to attach certificate to the admission form but only to show it in original, on the day of call for the collection of technical · and gift box except for Italian Participants and foreign Participants registered without a UCI.

· Foreign Participants without U.C.I. License must necessarily pay, in addition to registration fee, the amount of 16 € to start the multi·risk insurance policy + RCT which coverage is valid only for the duration of event.

WHAT DOES IT HAPPEN AFTER REGISTRATION? Once Your admission request to Prosecco Cycling 2024 has been accepted, You will receive an e·mail confirming the successful registration together with the receipt of the amount You paid. In case of missing data and/or if medical certificate does not comply with the requirements of the Official Regulations of Event, the registration will be temporarily suspended until You will regularize Your position.

TEAMS

Prize to the first five Teams made up of men and women indiscriminately, registered with the same Group, classifying the highest number of Participants (minimum 10) on arrival within 30" between the first and last of their Members within the maximum time of 4 hours 45' from departure. First Team will receive the Trophy and 60 bottles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg. Next four Teams will receive respectively 54, 48 and 36 bottles.

Teams classification does not preclude the possibility to compete for the following rankings: Individual of Category, Fun Team, Black Jersey and We2gether Team. The always optional Chip, to be purchsed by online application, becomes necessary only for Individual Ranking of Category, Fun Team and/ or Black Jersey.

Marconi in Valdobbiadene, after showing an identity document and/or membership card and only after the arrival of the last Participant.

FUN TEAM

Prize to Teams made up of men and women, Members of the same Group achieving the best time on entire route (100 km). Team must be composed of (minimum 5) Participants passing on arrival within 30" between the first and the fifth of their Members.

Team not finishing the test with at least one woman in the top 5, will be penalized by 15 minutes.

The first Team will receive the Trophy and a supply of 48 bottles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. The following four Teams will receive: 42, 36, 30 and 24 bottles.

Fun Team ranking does not preclude the possibility to compete for the following Rankings: Individual of Category, Teams, Black Jersey and We2gether Team.  The always optional Chip, to be purchsed by online application, becomes necessary only for Individual of Category- and Black Jersey Rankings.

BLACK JERSEY

Prize to Team made up of men and women, licensed with the same Group, recording the worst result in the average of three timed climbs. Said average will be calculated by adding the travel average of the three timed climbs, made by 10 Members of each Team achieving the worst result. This Team will receive a prize of 60 bottles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

Black Jersey Ranking does not preclude the possibility to compete for the following Rankings: Individual of Category, Teams and/or Fun Team and/or We2gether Team. The always optional Chip, to be purchsed by online application, becomes necessary only for Individual of Category- and Black Jersey and/or Fun Team Rankings.

WE2GETHER TEAM

Prize to Team, with a minimum of 10 finishers showing on arrival the best scenography paying tribute to Prosecco Cycling 20th anniversary. This setting will enhance the concept of environmental sustainability together with Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene Hills World Heritage Landscape. This Group will receive a prize of 60 bottles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

We2gether Team Ranking does not preclude the possibility to compete for the following Rankings: Individual of Category, Teams and/or Fun Team and/or Black Jersey. GOLD GIFT BOX

It is personalized with a bottle of DOCG Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Villa Sandi - Rive di San Pietro di Barbozza. Do You know what the meaning of RIVE is? In Veneto Dialect, “RIVE” indicates a plot of land or a vineyard located on a hill characterized by important slopes, where the work is entirely hand done but on a land that gives an excellent quality to the grapes making the wine  “unique”. “RIVE” are often given a particular and local name in order to identify the precise lot. “RIVE” denomination can only be used for sparkling wine and not for still wine. The yield per hectare must be limited and the production year is to be indicated on the bottle. Naturally processed Lazzaris Bio Jam where the original taste of fruit is preserved is added. Furthermore, thanks to the careful selection of Italian Confederation of Farmers of Treviso, local food products, coming from certified and controlled crops at km 0! are included. 

TECHNICAL SUIT

In case of € 160 registration You will be given, together with gift box, the technical cycling jersey produced in limited edition by Nalini with 2023 customized graphics. If You instead, choose the € 190 registration, (by addition a fee for shipping costs) You will receive directly at home,  the cycling suit · jersey and pants · You can wear immediately! An increase of € 16 will be applied for both methods relating to the activation of the daily Insurance Policy for Participants not owing a Card and for Foreigners owing a Card but not U.C.I license.

FIRST ROW DEPARTURE

GOLD Membership provides access to the Starting Front Row where it will be possible to experience all the excitement and thrill of a unique show like Prosecco Cycling.

GOLD BIKE PARKING

It will be possible to leave bicycles in the guarded Parking located in Piazza G. Marconi at the back of the Town Hall House of Valdobbiadene, next to the Hospitality Area. The guarded parking will be open from h. 06:30 to h. 17:00.

HOSPITALITY AREA

Hospitality Area, set up beside Loggia of the Municipality of Valdobbiadene, is reserved to Prosecco Cycling Participants choosing GOLD Membership. On the day of the Event, breakfast will be served right here before departure and, immediately after arrival, You will enjoy the opportunity to taste a sumptuous buffet-lunch prepared by great chefs with Italian and local food excellence from sustainable agriculture, together with Villa Sandi DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore.

FURTHER INFORMATION

If You like to access Hospitality Area together with another Person (Companion), You have to pay, in addition to the fee for the GOLD Membership, an amount of € 60 by filling in the appropriate online form.

Minors under 18 years will be able to access Hospitality Area if accompanied by their Parents or by an Adult; the fee is reduced to € 20 in cash for Children 5 to 10. Only for GOLD Members, technical · and gift box delivery service can be done also on Sunday morning 29 September 2024, from h. 06:30 to h. 07:30 in the Hospitality Area.

Gold Participants and any Companion will receive an identification bracelet allowing the access. The purchase and use of the chip is optional. Participants wishing to be included in Individual of Category, Fun Team, and Black Jersey Rankings can purchase the chip by online admission - form adding only € 6 to GOLD participation fee.

A bottle of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG of Villa Sandi, from the heart of Unesco Heritage Hills can not miss. Naturally processed Lazzaris Bio Jam with original taste of fruit, is added. Furthermore, thanks to the careful selection of Italian Confederation of Farmers of Treviso, local food products, coming from certified and controlled crops at km 0! are included.

TIMING SYSTEM

Timing service is provided by EvoData through single·use chip technology. Purchase and use of the chip is optional! Participants wishing to be included in Individual of Category, Fun Team,  Black Jersey can purchase the chip by application·form adding only € 6 to the chosen participation fee. No deposit is required for single·use chip and different personal chips cannot be used.

TECHNICAL AND MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE

Mechanical service is provided in the wake of the Race. Any spare parts are subject to a fee, except for the wheels. The participation contact will be reported to Organizer in the event that replacements are made with spare parts. After arrival, Participant must present himself al Info Point, located in Valdobbiadene, Piazza G. Marconi to pay for the spare parts and/or to return the wheels for replacement. In the event of a puncture, the inner tubes will be provided for free  by Organizer.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Health service is provided in the suit of event and at fixed locations indicated along the route.  P.M.A. (Advanced Medical Station) will be set up in Valdobbiadene - Piazza G. Marconi behind Duomo. Each participant will find in technical box a label reporting medical assistance number, to be carried with and to contact in case of need.

GOURMET STOPS

Out and out gourmet stops are planned on the route: Refrontolo stop with sweets and creams and Refrontolo passito DOCG produced starting from Marzemino grapes. Muro di  Ca' del Poggio, traditional Prosecco and Scampi Stop, while giant spit awaits you in Barbisano square!

CELEBRATORY MEDAL

Commemorative medals, delivered immediately after arrival to all participants in Gravel Contest, are produced in Murano - Venice by the students of "Abate Zanetti" Technical School, the only one in Italy to be characterized by the context where it's located; medals, strictly handmade, are made from recycled glass of Murano furnaces..

GUARDED BIKE PARK

Participants can safely store their bike in the guarded parking, located at Villa dei Cedri, Via Piva in Valdobbiadene, where "Tiramisù Taste Event" will take place. Parking is available only on Sunday 29 September 2024, from h. 11:30 to h. 16:00

SHOWERS AND TOILETS

Showers and toilets are available on Sunday 29 September 2024 from h. 11:30 to h. 16:00 in the municipal swimming pools building, in Valdobbiadene, Via Kolbe n. 8.

TIRAMISÙ TASTE EVENT 

Once crossed the finish line in Valdobbiadene, Participants in Prosecco Cycling will be able to move from h. 12:00 to h. 16:00 to the nearby Villa dei Cedri for a moment of tasting · extended even to their Companions · of the popular spoon · dessert always followed by DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore. Participants without free ticket supplied upon delivery of the technical box and any Companion will be able to utilize the service by paying the fee of only € 5.

MARZEMINI AND REFRONTOLO PASSITO DOCG BISCUITS

These are simple biscuits, made with flour, brown sugar, chopped almonds, sunflower seed oil, salt, yeast, lemon, various aromas and Colli di Conegliano Refrontolo Passito DOCG, their distinguishing ingredient.

Refrontolo Passito was Mozart's favorite wine, who in his opera "Don Giovanni" called it "excellent Marzemino". In Refrontolo, the production of Marzemino Passito has been a tradition since 1400.

 Harvest takes place at the end of September, when grapes completed the development of their aromatic structure and softened tannins. They are carefully selected and let to dry. When grapes reach the right degree of drying, they are pressed and stripped, best grapes are selected and left to soak in fermentation.  The grapes are then removed and, at the end of fermentation, the wine is aged for 36 months in oak barrels and then in bottle.

PROSECCO AND SCAMPI ON MURO DI CA' DEL POGGIO

First the time trial challenge, then the now classic stop to taste Prosecco and scampi at the top of the most famous climb of World Heritage Hills. Muro di Ca' del Poggio will be one one of the most anticipated moments of Prosecco Cycling: the first of three timed climbs to add another great moment of celebration to a day promising to be memorable.

SPIEDO OF ALTA MARCA TREVIGIANA

His Majesty the Spike - 'Spèo' in Treviso idiom - will be set up in the square of the small village of Barbisano. This is a traditional farmer's dish, typical of Treviso Prealps, dating back to a time when meat was rarely included in the diet and was only eaten on a few celebratory occasions.

These are mixed meats - in this case chicken and pork - of different sizes, which are stuffed into skewers interspersed with lard and sage and cooked over the reverberation of a wood flame for 5/6 hours or more and combined with Maranello polenta.

FISH FROM UPPER ADRIATIC SEA

We chosen a sustainable path also for gourmet fish manufacturing from Venetian aquaculture beeing, in spite of other system of animal breeding, the most efficient breeding system to limit effect on use of resources such as water, soil and energy.

Fish farming brings a real benefit to conservation of environmental resources and to protection and maintenance of habitats and biodiversity, safeguarding some species otherwise destined to extinction.

CASATELLA TREVIGIANA DOP

Casatella Trevigiana DOP, produced by Latteria di Soligo, is a fresh cow's milk cheese with raw, soft, shiny and slightly creamy paste, delicate aroma and sweet taste. It is the hallmark of cheese art handed down from generation to generation in Treviso territory. Mild and fresh in the mouth, it is characterized by a sweet and strong taste, balanced by a light and delicate aroma.

WORLD CYCLING SUSTAINABLE EVENT

On 30 September 2022 Prosecco Cycling together with TD Five Boro Bike Tour New York (32,000 Participants), Cape Town Cycle Tour (35,000 Participants) and, on 29 September 2023, with RBC GranFondo Whistler of Vancouver (5,000 Participants), signed an important Memorandum on Environmental Sustainability. Guidelines for the promotion and development of Environmental Sustainability, included in the Memorandum, provide for the implementation of good energy saving practices, office and warehouse management, transport, logistics, choice of suppliers, equipment and materials; to the implementation and improvement of digital functions as a contribution to reduction or elimination of printed paper.

The four important Events undertake to promote, with the support of Public Administrations, the use of bikes as a sustainable means of transport and to identify measures to support the organisation of sports events and cycle paths towards the protection of the environment and sustainability. Moreover, in the relationship with partners and suppliers, Companies having undertaken · or willing to · a path towards full environmental sustainability are privileged. Awareness, level of responsibility and participation of Cyclists in environmental issues will also be raised.
